Yes, this total is very high and for good reason. Charlotte ranks 27th in defensive efficiency and the Lakers rank 20th. The Hornets have allowed an average of 126.8 points per game in their last 6 and the Lakers defense is struggling without Anthony Davis on the floor. They just surrendered 130 and 134 points in back-to-back games. At home the Lakers will have no problem scoring on a weak Charlotte defense but the reason to back the Over comes from a strong mismatch with the Hornets offensive play. Charlotte averages the 2nd most 2-point attempts per game and the Lakers allow the 2nd most 2 pointers. To make matters worse their 2-point FG% allowed is up to 57.6% in their last 3 games (No Anthony Davis).
