ARI Starter Ryne Nelson looked sharp in his final spring start. 1 ER on 5.2IP without issuing a walk. He has 3 MLB starts in his career, all in 2022, two of which was against SD. He gave up just 3 ER in 12.1 IP. SD Starter Ryan Weathers is more of a long relief bullpen guy. He was relegated to bullpen duty in the minors after pitching to a 6.67 ERA in 22 AAA starts. He has a 5.68 era through spring and made just 1 start. ARI is also very deep with RH batting. The majority of their line-up owns better numbers vs LH Pitching. Weathers 1 and only start vs ARI came at home and he gave up 6 ER in 3 innings of work. The Padres bats are hitting just .215 through 4 games, all against the Rockies. Colorado doesn’t exactly have great pitching either.
