Huge game here tonight between Boston and Miami with the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference on the line. Boston’s been on an absolute tear since the All-Star Break, they rank 1st in offensive rating since then thanks in large part to Jayson Tatum lighting up the league. In the month of March Tatum is averaging 33.7 ppg while shooting 53.9% from the field and a staggering 46.6% from deep which has helped Boston win an absurd 22 of their last 26 games. The Over has hit in 6 straight Boston Celtics games and when they’re hot they stay hot, coming off games in which they score more than 100 points the Over has hit in 14 of the L17. The interior defense of Boston did just take a major blow, rim protector Robert Williams is out indefinitely after meniscus surgery. That leaves Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo (who’s having the best offensive season of his career) with an opportunity to dominate inside. The Heat are coming off a 123-point performance last time out which saw a combined 49 points from Butler and Adebayo on an efficient 66.6% from the floor. Miami’s defense has been struggling as of late as they’ve let up more than their season average in 9 out of their last 11 games which has seen the Over hit in 5 of their last 6 games. When Miami travels on the road against winning teams the Over’s hit in 22 of their L27 so it comes as no surprise that the Over’s 4-0 their L4 meetings in Boston. The Celtics put up over 120 points in all 4 of those games and with the way their offense is playing since the break we expect another impressive outing. With the Williams injury the Miami Heat offense should have no trouble keeping up in this one either. HIT THAT OVER!
