Milwaukee Brewers vs Los Angeles Dodgers Over 8.5
We have an OVER friendly pitching matchup in this one. Andrew Heaney of the Dodgers may have been productive early in the year but he's returning to his below average form. He's allowed 10 runs in his past 3 starts and his most recent outing came against these same Brewers last week. He threw 89 pitches and couldn't get through the 5th after giving up 5 runs. Heaney had to battle his way through that start and with the extra familiarity from facing him last week, Milwaukee should have no issue getting traffic on the base paths.
This will be Adrian Houser's first start since a right flexor strain sent him to the IL at the end of June. He's had struggles all season long when pitching away from American Family Field, pitching to the tune of a 5.89 era on the road. Facing the #1 offense in baseball on the road his first start back is a tall order. To make matters worse he's had command issues down in Triple A during his rehab assignment. He's given 7 free passes in just 8.1 IP and this is the minors we're talking about. The Dodgers lead the league in OBP and are 2nd in walks trailing only the Yankees.
